With Precision X though, it kinda has a frame limiter but the max that it can be set to is 120 fps. I tried to install Rivatuner without afterburner and it still won't run. It depends on the refresh rate of the monitor. Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the cap. Did you make sure to install Rivatuner with Precision? I'm pretty sure it's there somewhere, although I can't check myself as it messes up my CSGO.įallout has a locked frame cap. Rivatuner (the thing used to lock fps) can be used with Precision, although your fps goes down with your refresh rate which suggests that Afterburner isn't limiting it, something else is. I really only want afterburner so I can do an fps cap. I haven't found a way to limit fps with Precision X either.

I probably will just go back to Precision X but I would like to play Fallout without it being 1/3rds of my monitors refresh rate (at 144hz I'm capped at 48 fps, 120hz at 40 fps, 60hz at 20 fps) and not have to try to pick locks at 600 fps. I did try to run it as an admin, but it still didn't work. Have you tried right clicking and running it as admin? I would honestly just reinstall Precision X, as you are familiar with it already anyway, they do the exact same things, remember to uninstall Afterburner though.

Did you have two monitors running at one point? It could be displaying the windows on a monitor that doesn't exist, I had the same thing when I switched back to one monitor.
